The complexity and diversity of plant life has always fascinated me, whether illustrating it or working directly in my garden. As I illustrate I strive to bring the viewer along with me to explore nature and become intimately aware of the details one might not see through casual observation.

My illustrations are layered with transparent watercolor applied in a cross hatch manner that illuminates the subject and has the evidence of my hand at work. While anatomically correct my illustrations are rendered with grace and elegance.
